water. if you were going to describe kokketsu with one word, it would surely be “water.” just like water, kokketsu is gentle, very gentle. so gentle that the very aura that he emits from his being could bring you to tears if you were to let his sweet-tempered soul touch you, and his softhearted eyes pierce. no one knows where or how he developed such a demeanor, but he has always been that way. another trait of adam’s ale that he possesses is that he is capable of being dirtied or polluted.

in the sense that kokketsu can be naive sometimes, and this could lead him to making decisions that aren’t best for him or those who are close to him. kokketsu doesn’t align himself with good nor evil, everything is handled as a case by case scenario. his gentle nature plays into his naivety which birthed another trait within him— mercy. now, he isn’t exactly new to getting his hands dirty, it is apart of the world he is in if he wants to survive and be able to lead others who follow him to where they want to be. but even when he has to crush the things of those in his wake, he does so with mercy, like a light rain on a dry day.

and finally, the last key trait of kokketsu is his dutifulness. normally this would be a good trait to have, but his dutifulness to the tasks at hand can allow him to neglect things or people. it goes as far as making him one-track minded, and incapable of seeing the bigger picture sometimes. though there are many different traits and faces to kokketsu, he is far from being perfect and has no desire to be. he has a firm belief that everything is situational, this even extends to his feelings toward people and his admiration for them, and never feels like a blanket rule or law fits everything.

kijima kokketsu was born nineteen years ago in ōtsu-shi, japan. kokketsu was born to one of the few assistants of doctor miyabi tensai in the trophaeum tower, being one of his most dedicated researchers. pretty much like any human being working under someone who they hold great admiration for, feelings would bud and eventually bloom into uncontrollable feelings of desire. with miss kijima unable to control her feelings for the doctor, she eventually gave herself to him, and he impregnated her with his illegitimate child. once she had gotten a taste of the doctor, she hungered for more, which would lead to it disturbing her work and that of the entire facility.

with doctor miyabi’s hand force, he had no other choice but to kick her out and ban her from ever returning to the tower again. due to the feelings she held for him, despite being abandoned, she wouldn’t betray him or what he was doing. eventually kokketsu was born, but at this time his mother who had been used drugs heavily to cope with her lost couldn’t survive the birth which left the baby boy orphaned at birth. luckily for him, even though he had been the illegitimate child of the doctor, he continued to keep an eye out for the mother, despite not doing anything to save her from her terrible life decisions which could have endangered kokketsu’s life.

doctor miyabi had swept into claim the child, becoming his rightful guardian and taking him into the trophaeum tower with the other children he had there. in the beginning, the doctor had no real feelings or attachments to the boy, so he treated him like the other children in his position, but at the same time expected more of him, due to his own blood flowing through the boy's veins. doctor miyabi continued to raise the boy until he was mature enough to be set free and experience the world on his own. he had never learned of his connection to the doctor, but it was always something about miyabi that drew him closer to him.

despite being treated slightly more harsh than the rest, the boy remained faithful and loyal to the doctor, following any task that he had given to him without fail. when the doctor had set them free and asked of them to protect the tower, he knew he could count of kokketsu following his wish. upon entering the real world with so much already on his plate, kokketsu set out on obtaining any all the experiences of the world that he could, so that he would be that much closer to understand the world and those who he would deem as his enemies. if they dared to reach too high.
