Just shy of Osaka station is the Diamond District. This district has become that of the wealthier citizens of Osaka's preferred shopping area. Alongside having a multitude of large buildings that host corporations as well as living arrangements for those in the higher tax brackets; the Diamond District is the number one spot for resorts and plaza's. Used primarily for the housing the famous and tourists, it seems as though the peace is kept within the area due to noise ordinances and lack there of young people. However, the towering heights of the buildings within have attracted more and more sight-seers ranging from young to old by the day. This is certainly a fitting area for the influential to reside.

Much more populated with those who reside in the middle tax bracket, Shin Umeda City houses more entertainment for the youth of Osaka than the Diamond District. Due to the almost overflowing pedestrian traffic, there seems to be a plethora of street signs and walk ways. It's even preferred to travel by foot rather than car due to the influx of bodies present. Within being located in Umeda, Shin Umeda City also houses a copious amount of large buildings positioned side by side. However, instead of simply being known for the more expensive shops, this city is known for the Umeda Sky Building. Two 40-story towers that connect at their two uppermost stories, with bridges and an escalator crossing the wide atrium-like space in the center. The Fashion Zone and Restaurant Floor can be found within the lower levels of said building.

Osaka Garden City comes to life at night. The staggering heights of the towers and buildings are made known by the bright lights that illuminate them and the streets down below. Housing commercial and industrial buildings, there are a cluster of underground walkways, malls and train stations. The highlight of the area however, is the 40-story Herbis Osaka that houses a high-end hotel and a shopping mall. The Gate tower is also an architectural marvel, being a 16-story office building that has a highway passing through it.

Board Information & Statistics
BOARD DESCRIPTION
The Umeda district is the major commercial and business district of Osaka. Notable for its comparatively high concentration of tall buildings, and skyscrapers; the Umeda district houses the higher echelon of department stores and shops. The wealthier and more business oriented individuals find themselves here often. From the Diamond district to Osaka Garden City, there is nothing more than a plethora of large buildings and shops to entertain the masses. Do be careful of pedestrians, the traffic on foot as well as in car is quite chaotic twenty-four seven. There also seem to be several subways that connect this district to the other of Osaka. As well as other parts of Japan.
