Kamo-gawa Riverside functions as the central park in Kyoto, spanning both sides of the river that cuts wildly through the city. Both sides of the river are lined with green areas and there are multiple bike paths. Not to mention the plethora of exercise areas as well as benches scattered about too. There are also huge stones that can be called "imaginative bridges" that are all along the river connecting both sides of the park.

Ippudo Ramen is said to be one of the best food joints in all of Kyoto aside from the soba shop. One slurp of the noddles and broth and it's a clear winner as to why this place is so popular. The noddles are just the perfect texture and the broth is of outstanding quality.

Not only is it one of the only Indian cuisine restaurants in Kyoto, it is the absolute best. At least that is what the locals think. Kerala is located in the heart of downtown Kyoto, and is something that everyone, even the tourists, should try when they're out shopping. It's nothing to look at though, it seems like a cramped hall with some chairs and tables. However one bit of this Indian cuisine makes it all worth while.

Located in the heart of downtown just one block north of Shiji, Nishiki Market is the city's largest traditional food market. Whilst there is a small onset of modern shops trying to move into the market's territory, their reign is still incredibly small. There are stalls as far as the eye can see and all of them are selling different traditional cuisine. Most of which is all grown or caught locally.
