Once a small district with shops selling used clothes and second-hand books, Den-Den Town has grown into one of the largest commercial districts in Osaka, packed with electrical equipment discount stores and a plethora of places for otakus to get their fill on anime and manga merchandise. With comiket advertising wares, it's no wonder how merchants maintain steady customer flow. Not to mention the numerous cosplay and maid cafes one can dine in. Maid cafes, gaming shops, hobby shops, home appliances, junk computer parts? Den-Den Town has it all!

Board Information & Statistics
BOARD DESCRIPTION
Nipponbashi is known for its many shops which specialize in furniture, tools, and "otaku" interests such as electronics, animation, manga, and collectibles. The district is also often compared to Akihabara Electric Town, its equivalent in Tokyo. Especially famous for its wide variety of consumer electronics stores, and for its negotiable prices; most of the retailers are tax and duty-free. The district also features numerous maid cafes and cosplay cafes. These include small and simple maid-themed coffee shops, maid-staffed massage and beautician services, and sit-down style full service cabarets.
