The tower acts as a support structure for an antenna used for television broadcasting and radio. Alongside gawking at the tower's structure and looking down at Tokyo from the observation deck, tourists and natives travel to the site to visit FootTown. A four-story building located directly under the tower that houses museums, restaurants and shops. At night, the tower becomes one of the cities biggest eye catchers.
