Midōsuji Boulevard is one of the primary main streets in central Osaka, Japan. It runs north-south, passing through Umeda, Dōtonbori, Nipponbashi and Shinsekai districts. Underneath the street is the Midōsuji Line subway. The boulevard also doubles as an ultra high-class shopping street. Housing clothing stores of major brands, major hotels, and high class living arrangements. Although there are a multitude of streets for use of cars and other vehicles, most citizens prefer to walk in regards to travel. This allows them to take in the wonderful lights during the busy night life as well as possibly catch the occasional firework and street performer shows.
