Now abandoned, Luna Park was once Japan's second amusement park. Goers would enjoy entering said park by using the aerial tramway from the original Tsūtenkaku Tower. Luna Park featured an arcade, mechanical rides, a fun house, a music hall, a theater, and a hot springs spa. However, after the first Tsūtenkaku Tower was damage in a fire, Luna Park was soon closed down afterwards. The park still stands but has not been touched since the fire. It's safe to assume the mechanical rides have rusted over and the park is nothing more than a shell of it's former self.

The third zoo to open in Japan, the Tennoji zoo has remained popular ever since then with citizens as a place for recreation, culture and learning. Having expanded considerably over the years, the zoo currently houses about 1,000 animals of 230 different types. It serves as a welcome oasis in the midst of the metropolis of Osaka. In addition to reproducing as closely as possible the original habitats and environments of animals, also serves as a kind of “ecological exhibition” to introduce to the public how these animals live.

The pride and joy of the Shinsekai district. After the rebuilding due to fire, the tower is now the hottest spot around. Towering over the entire district of Shinsekai, every corner inside the tower has been remodeled to offer excitement every day. Patrons can enjoy making their way to the top of Tsūtenkaku over and over again, filled with thrills and laughter with the help of the tower mascots. There are two distinct stairways one can take. One being very colorful and cartoon like, the other being more regal and allowing those to learn of the tower's history as they travel. And yes, there is an elevator so no worries. Several food enterprises have set up shop within the tower so you won't even starve to death on the climb! At night, LED lighting shows different color sets every two months. The tower also shows the next day's weather by a combination of different colored lights from the top of it.

The "forgotten" area of Japan. The city government of Osaka does not allow the name "Kamagasaki" to appear on official maps and discourages the use of the name in the media. The district is home to slum like conditions containing run-down housing structures and untidy streets. Several riots with the police have occurred in Kamagasaki over perceived human rights violations by authorities. It is very common however, to find homeless individuals sleeping outside of the slum like area. For their seems to have been mass development near the district limits. Buildings that seem to "hide" the slums.

Board Information & Statistics
BOARD DESCRIPTION
As a result of minimal redevelopment, the area has become one of Japan's poorest districts. Despite its negative image reputation as Osaka's most dangerous area, elements of seediness, and destitution; Shinsekai boasts a colorful history and unique identity while also being home to a large number of legitimate business outlets. It is the scene of low-cost restaurants, cheap clothing stores, cinemas, shogi and mahjong clubs, and pachinko parlors. The Tsūtenkaku tower is the center piece of the run-down district, having LED lighting that shows a different color set for every two months. The tower also gives a clear view of the entire district from the observation deck and shows the next day's weather by a combination of different colored lights from the top of it. The district also holds the Kamagasaki slums within.
